LifeSync utilizes free Google Apps service to wirelessly synchronize email, contacts and calendar appointments between multiple computer devices (such as an office computer, home computer, laptop, and most popular smart phones).

Google Apps is 100% free for up to 10 users, making it an ideal solution for families and small businesses. The only cost for LifeSync is the labor associated with set up, configuration, and training – normally $300 or less. There is also a nominal annual fee – less than $10 – if you do not yet have a domain ("yourname.com" or "yourcompany.com").

Training is normally delivered at our office in Portage. For an additional $70, training can be delivered at your home or office.

LifeSync relies upon Google’s gmail “engine.” Users simply logon to a private company web page to send/receive mail, and interact with their calendars. Even though this system utilizes the gmail look-and-feel, all email accounts utilize your own domain name (rather than gmail.com). Each user gets his/her own email account, calendar, address book, and documents area for sharing files with other members of the organization. Google apps are very secure and reliable. The email components offer superior spam filtration to weed out unwanted junk mail.

The advantage of this system is that users can send and receive email, make appointments, and update contacts from any computer device, including a smart phone or iPad. New messages (received and sent), calendar updates and address book changes are automatically synchronized to other devices within seconds. Furthermore, users can opt to share their calendar with others in the organization. For example, a receptionist may use a computer at the main office to schedule an appointment for another employee who is in the field. Less than a minute later, the appointment automatically appears on that employee’s laptop and/or smart phone’s calendar! 

If you already have a website, it is NOT necessary to move the site to a new hosting provider. However, West Michigan Computer Care does require administrative access to your site to alter a few settings.
